19. Charny asks: A banneret is going to a tourney and has his bachelors with him in his retinue; and he wishes to tourney with it during the week. And some of the bachelors with him go out to the preliminary combats and lose their horses, without the permission of their master and without their master being there. When evening comes they request the return of their horses, and their master says no. How will it be judged by the law of arms for tourneys?
